Patricia Theut

Patricia “Trish” Theut is the director of quality management at Banner Rehabilitation Hospital West. In this role since 2022, Trish facilitates and oversees the implementation of the hospital’s performance improvement programs, maintains year-round survey readiness for accreditations and leads infection control processes to ensure compliance and optimal patient safety practices.

A U.S. Air Force veteran and nurse for over 30 years, Trish has worked at hospitals throughout the U.S., including Hawaii and North Carolina. Upon relocating to Phoenix, Trish worked as a nurse in the Neurological ICU at the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Previously, she worked in the trauma unit at Banner University Hospital and the emergency department at Abrazo West Campus, helping to develop their chest pain center, stroke center and trauma level one unit.

Trish earned associate’s degrees in nursing and applied science from Central Carolina College and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
